I am having trouble getting the SnapToGrid to snap to different dimensions
other then the default 12 X 12. I have made preferences within the
workbench to enable the user to select the precision of their grid, and
therefore change the precision on the SnapToGrid event. I am having
trouble changing the SnapToPrecision to match with the grid's new
dimensions. ANy help would be appreciated.

getInt() for the precision on the snapto. Let this be a lesson to anyone
still in college: scrambling to get your projects done and meet your
employer's demands is not easy, but staying up all night workign on homework
doesnt help.
