Not by a much of a lead, but it appears that Web Development Tools for
Eclipse is the "winner". Unless people want to continue to debate over
the name, can we close this issue?
In my eyes, I see Igor's, Chris' and Alex's votes having the extra
weight seeing as to how they all have pre-existing project codebases
that they *can* donate right away. Can we close this, and move on
before the everyone's enthusiasm dies out? Already the posts seem less
active.
Richard.

Seconded and I call question.

Yes please :-)
Igor, I understand that you're not really in love with "Web Development
Tools for Eclipse" (WDTE). Would you still be okay contributing to the
project if we choose this path and not go with SolarEclipse?
There is also room for compromise IMO: SolarEclipse could live on as a
project providing JSP/J2EE tooling built on top of WDTE, for example. What
do you think?
Cheers,
Chris

Actually if Sun get their way and the Eclipse name is changed we don't want
to deliberately rile the Sun guys with Eclipse-like/related names. After all
we all want the same things really.
What about plain WDT, that way we have no dependencies on the current name
of the platform? Program to an interface, implementing sub-projects can add
on the "E" if they want.
Troll.
Troll.
