misc. mouse-functions don't work in eclipse [message #151529] Tue, 30 March 2004 04:28

Hi all,
though not really a showstopper but a bit annoying:

misc. functions of "high-end" mice don't work in eclipse.

Eg. mine has a "tiltable" scroll wheel, i.e. a scrollwheel for
vertical scrolling that can also be pressed sideways for horizontal
scrolling.

The bare scroll wheel function usually works, though not always (i.e.
not in all views) and if it does it then often scrolls the wrong
window. To my understanding the scroll wheel should scroll the window
in which the mouse is currently in, regardless of whether it currently
has the focus or not. So one often scrolls the wrong window.

And all additional buttons (backward/forward) and esp. the very
convenient tilt/horizontal scrolling does not work at all.

Thought I let you know, since the new M8 GUI otherwise is so nice...
