Hi, I'm new to WST. Where can I find the specification for how (or the
code that shows where) information is written and read to/from the
..settings directory and the associated files?

Thanks,

Brian

Welcome ...

One of the main web pages for technical info on wst components is
http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/wst/components.html

Its ... ah ... not exactly perfect and all up-to-date, so as you
get more specific questions, feel free to ask.

BTW, the actual files and their format in the .settings directory are no=
t
(and likely will never be) the "right" way to "get at the project data"
(its "system" data, for internal use) .... but .... I suspect you know t=
hat,
and you are right, there is, sometimes, official API ways to get at that=
data.
