Hi,
Just in case you don't know about this project. They compile SWT code to
Java Script application, a GWT does. Maybe you could use it?

http://j2s.sourceforge.net/

Best regards,
Marcin Okraszewski

Hi Marcin,

Thanks for the pointer. We are aware of that project, but as you stated
it is closer to GWT then to our approach. RAP is more server centric,
and can thus go beyond the widget toolkit to osgi, plugins and a
workbench. This will be quite difficult to achieve in JavaScript.

There is actually a new demo available, based on our research for
creating a widget toolkit close to the SWT api.

http://rap.eclipse.org:3001/rwt/

More info on this will follow.

Jochen

the demo has moved to:

http://rap.eclipse.org/rwt/

However, this is a virtual server with sometimes really bad response
times (not the fault of rwt). We will try to get a dedicated server, in
the meantime the same demo is also on http://rap.innoopract.com/rwt/
