Juno SR2 memory leak [message #1019077] Thu, 14 March 2013 21:48 Go to next message

Am I the only one for whom SR2 is entirely unusable? It seems like the indexer has a memory leak. It will just continue to grow until it hits the memory limit (currently at 3GB). Surely I'm not the only one to encounter this, but I haven't been able to find anyone else who's reported it.

I should mention this occurs whether I upgrade my previous eclipse installation or install fresh and load my workspace. No additional plugins in the latter environment.

I have also memory problems with my new fresh juno sr2, seems to be memory leak.
I use juno sr2 64bit under Windows 7, 64 with 4GB Ram. I have aditionaly installed the following plugins:

  • checkystyle plug-in
  • color theme
  • Hibernate tools
  • Spring AJTD Integration
  • Spring AOP Extension
  • Spring Autowire Extension
  • Spring Batch Extension
  • Sprinng Core

After ecplise is started memory usage is at about 600-700Mb level. Than eclipse starts to consume rest of memory till 1200Mb...

@Chris how do you get that this is the indexer problem?
