I'm trying to figure out how to debug MATLAB MEX files using Eclipse CDT on Linux (although I would also like to get it working on Windows, this isn't a priority).

I've searched online and cannot find any instructions for how to do this. All I've found is this old thread:
http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php/m/187000/?srch=matlab+mex#msg_187000

However, the link is long since broken.

I'm new to Eclipse, but comfortable with MATLAB and Mex Files. I've successfully debugged in Linux using gdb and ddd, and on Windows using Visual Studio. I'm not necessarily interested in compiling the MEX files within Eclipse (that works fine within MALTAB already), just debugging through Eclipse.

Has anybody had experience doing this that can point me in the right direction?

Thanks,
- Ben
