Birt Excel Issue [message #1015403] Thu, 28 February 2013 08:50 Go to next message

Hi Everyone,

I am using open source Birt(2.6.0)

I have a report with 6 data sets. In total, it has around 5,743,719 rows of data. With a Slight Complex Birt Template, the Birt generates the Excel file which is about 1.3 GB. When I tried to open the downloaded file, it says the Excel file is corrupt ie. The file is not formed completely (improper end tags)

So I tied with a basic Birt Template, this time Birt generates the Excel file which is about 3 GB. Even this time when I opened the downloaded file, it says file is corrupt.

Is there any session maintained in Birt side. So that if the report execution takes more time, it just returns improperly formed file.

Thanks in Advance,
Naveen.

Naveen,

When you export to pdf, what size are you getting and how many pages?
