Hello all,
I am new to Java programming and Eclipse, so please excuse my ignorance!
Currently I am taking a course on Java at a local university where I usually
use either Kawa or NetBeans to create my Java class files (they don't have
Eclipse). At home, I like to use Eclipse. But I can not get a simple class
file imported into Eclipse! When I try to run it (if I can get it open) I
get the error that there is no main method, although there is. Even
HelloWorld will not run! If I create a new project and class in Eclipse and
cut and paste the code, the class executes with no problems. But this is a
bit if a hassle. So if anyone could point me in the right direction on how
to open and import a class file into Eclipse, I would be very grateful.
TIA,
Dave Roberts

You cannot. You have to create a Java project first.
