which are using it at the moment, as far as it's pretty old one.

while pointing it any JBoss's directories was not able to make it work.
Yes, at least I want to have something for coding, not necessary for
deployment/etc.
Any ideas?

You should point it to the directory where the JBoss Implementation of the J2EE
standard resides (some jar file which contains the classes for namespace
javax.ejb.*). The Basic J2EE Runtime Server searches adds all Jars in this
directory to the projects classpath, so you can at least compile. DEployment is
not possible.
