Is it possible to create a dependency between a dynamic web project and
another?
For example, suppose that I have a "base" project, with its JSPs and
classes. Now I want to "extend" it by creating a new project that has its
own JSPs and classes and "inherits" the JSPs and the classes of the base
project.
If it is not possible, is this feature planned at all?
Ciao

Hi Antonio,

The simple answer is no, but the WTP team are aware of it.

If you search for posts here by me in the last month, you'll see a bit
of what's gone on, including how we've done exactly that by exploiting
the intermediate .deployables directory in the 0.7.x releases. Note:
this doesn't work with 1.0 code, as it's all changed, and it doesn't
work well anyway, for reasons you'll gather if you have a look at the
bug report https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=113061.

I've not yet submitted an enhancement request to the J2EE team as David
suggests, but I'm glad to see we're not the only one's wanting to do
that. Feel free to submit it, and add me to the cc: group.

Most of what's needed in terms of proposals can be extracted from the
comments on the above bug. Would be great to have this in for 1.5..
especially at an early milestone.

Feel free to add your comments and whatever I forgot to mention.
It's important to find someone that shares your problems :-P
