Hi,

I'd like to know which Eclipse versions are compatible with RAP 2.0.
Currently, there are two different updatesites [1] and [2] for the RC3 release containing 2 different features. In [1] there's a org.eclipse.rap.equinox.juno.target.feature, in [2] there exists a org.eclipse.rap.equinox.target.feature.

  1. Is [1] only compatible with Eclipse Juno and [2] with Eclipse Kepler?
  2. Or is [1] <= Juno and [2] >= Kepler?

Cheers,

Ken

Hi Ken,

RAP 2.0 runtime and tools are compatible with both, Juno and Kepler. The
2.0 release includes a Juno-based Equinox target feature because Juno is
the latest release version. The RAP 2.0 builds are also part of Kepler
M5, in this case with a Kepler-based Equinox target feature. However,
the Equinox feature is just a collection of bundles from Equinox that
are required for a working target, you can as well create your own
target from scratch.

Regards,
Ralf

Hi Ralf,

Thanks for the response. Does that mean that the RAP 2.0 runtime and tools feature is only compatible with Juno and Kepler? Are Helios and Indigo also supported (if an own equinox target feature is created)?

Cheers,

Ken

RAP Tools are only compatible with Juno and Kepler. The runtime should
work with older versions of Equinox as well.

Ralf
