Juno - FTP [message #1002548] Fri, 18 January 2013 15:20 Go to next message

Hello,

New to Eclipse, I downloaded Juno Classic (installed WPT, PDT). Followed (probably but sure old book) they used KLOMP for exporting through ftp. So far I don't have any ftp capability.

Can I use WebDav, ftp, Klomp, or something else with Juno ? How to ?

Concerned project: Web (html, php, ..).

Thank.

Hi,

I'm assuming you're trying to connect to an FTP server via an RSE
connection. What kind of connection have you defined (FTP Only)?

I suggest you Help > Install New Software ... and then from
http://download.eclipse.org/releases/juno
you install
- Remote System Explorer
- PHP Development Tools (PDT)
- Web Development Tools
- XML Editor
and whatever else you want. RSE will give you the FTP connectivity.

If you start with the Java EE package from http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/ instead of Classic then you'll have most stuff already preinstalled (I think only PDT would not be preinstalled).
