Hello, I am sorry if this is a stupid question.
I just installed NetBeans, we are trying to go towards a unified
development platform at my work, and since Eclipse has a SVN plugin we
chose it.
However, I am ashamed to even have to ask this, I can't stand the 'skin'
on Eclipse. I am very minimalist. The large sweeping 'tabs' are just a
bother to me. I can not figure out how(if it is possible) to change the
'skin' to something simpler or less distracting.
I THINK it may be related to the "Presentation" setting, however the only
two options are Default, and 2.1 Style. And I have to say, 2.1 style is a
mind-trip. It looks like the whole screen was inverted!
Any help would be appreciated, as a google search for anything +
"presentation" yields a frightening barrage of Power Point presentations...

After changing to the 2.1 presentation style, did you restart Eclipse?
IF you don't, it can only apply partial settings for the other
presentation style and it definitely looks bizarre. Restart and see how
you like it. Also, play around with the other preferences in the
Appearance section to, for example, move tab positions, etc.
Hope this helps,
Eric
