This is v 3.1.1

If I attach the source code of an external jar using the 'Attach
Source...' button on the class in the Java editor when the jar has
previously no source attachment, it takes ages and ages, at least 5 minutes.

When it unfreezes, the source code file is not opened either, Eclipse
shows the previous Java file in the Java editor, so it looks like
something on the 'attach source' process crashed, although there are no
errors logged.

However, the source is at that point thereafter still attached.

Eclipse is great but seems to be creaking under the load - I use all
projects with ClearCase plugin, XmlBuddy, Amateras JSP editor, SQL
Explorer, Spring-IDE. Could these be causing problems?

Regards
Adam

That is definitely not normal behavior - I've used Attach Source for
years and never see it do that.
My first guess would be that it is related to ClearCase integration.
What type of view(s) are you using? It is possible that the
network/ClearCase overhead is giving Eclipse some trouble. Is the JAR
that you're attaching source for in your ClearCase view? Is it local or
remote? What about the source location you are using?

Hope this helps,
Eric
