CSV datasource with semicolons [message #143906] Wed, 15 March 2006 04:40 Go to next message

Hi all!
I am trying to use a CSV file as datasource, however the values separator
is the semicolon (;) instead of the comma. This is the standard separator
in Italy, and in other countries.
Is there a way to tell BIRT that the values in the CSV file are separated
by a semicolon?
TIA

Ambrogio

The source code the ODA Flat File data source is available. The comma would
be hard coded, or made part of a property. I would imagine it's not a very
difficult change. When done, you would in essence create your own ODA which
should be able to be plugged into future versions of BIRT
