OCL and QVT [message #992543] Fri, 21 December 2012 18:03 Go to next message

Hi,

I am generating Ecore model(enriched with OCL) at run time. I am also evaluating and parsing OCL. I am also using delegates to evaluate instantiations of Ecore at run time.

I would like to use QVT and would like to perform all described tasks. So my question is that QVT fully supported in latest version as OCL? and what about using QVT in standalone application?

Cheers,

Hi

QVTc and QVTr use the new Pivot-based OCL with Xtext editors. However
there is no execution capability yet. A prototype QVTc executor may be
available around Kepler time and a prototype QVTr a year later.

QVTo uses the mature Ecore-based OCL with a custom editor. Migration to
the new Pivot-based OCL with Xtext editor is about to start; won't be a
replacement for Kepler; hopefully Kepler+1.

All of them can be used standalone.

Regards

Ed Willink
