Eclipse 4.2 Garbled Text while scrolling [message #990797] Fri, 14 December 2012 05:15 Go to next message

Dear All,

I hope this is the right section to add the topic.

I work on a quad core with ubuntu 10.10 64bit 8GB Ram,
with two monitors DVI and ATI Radeon HD 2400 XT
I downloaded Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers and
the available JREs are 1.7.0 and 1.6.0_38.

I have a garbled text problem with all the text boxes in Eclipse
whenever I scroll horizontally the box either using the mouse
placing the cursor at the end of the line (pressing End) and
bath to the beginning (pressing Home), see attached image.
index.php/fa/12720/0/

I've done the follow:

1. changes the vm in eclipse.ini -> No way
2. force the encoding to UTF-8 (it was UTF-8 by default) -> No way
3. add "-Dconsole.encoding=UTF8" in eclipse.ini -> No way

Now, I'm reinstalling the video card drivers
Do you have any idea?

Thank you!

Alessandro

Nope. Please file a bug against Platform SWT.
