Hello,

I'm new to Eclipse and very new to BIRT. My laptop runs Linux Mint Debian (latest) and I have installed the following files: eclipse-SDK-4.2.1-linux-gtk-x86_64.tar and from within eclipse PyDEV. This combination works great!
I then downloaded 'birt-report-framework-4_2_1'. After some trouble unpacking in Linux, I did unpack it in the windows7 guest that I have running. I have copied the unpacked directories to my eclipse directory. In the plugins dir. there are a lot of birt folders and .jar files so I think that's oke.

Now the problem I have:
I thought I would be able to see a report button or be able to open a report-perspective, but none of this.

Where is it? How do I start Birt?

Thanks in advance
