I think there is a bug in the import UML2 Model feature in latest TS 0.4.3.
If you select an existing project that is not in the Eclipse workspace.
The import fails as it still looks for the selected project in the
workspace.
The error message says: Invalid Project: path in workspace which is not
true for the selected project (created outside Eclipse workspace).
Also, the import log is very explicit here too.

I have raised a big against the core of Tigerstripe :
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=255454
In the mean time, I suggest you try using projects in the workspace.
