3.0M3.

I am attempting to package an existing feature into an update site,
following the instructions in the Eclipse help.

I have created a feature, which contains a plugin. The feature has
entries for Feature Description, Copyright Notice, and License agreement.

I have created an update site project to distribute that feature. after
I "Rebuild All", I use the "Find and Install" wizard to add my local
update site to the list of sites to search. It correctly displays my
feature, but when I select it I get an error notification: 'Invalid
combination - select "Show Status..." for details.' The status button
reveals "Requested operation cannot be performed because it would
invalidate the current configuration. See details for more information.
MyPlugin (1.0.0): The feature does not have a valid license agreement."

I am at a loss.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

I would double check to make sure the licence is correctly set in the
feature.xml.
If you see a problem, please open a defect and attach a sample test case.
