Did you download and install, including link up, a proper Sun JDK too?
This doesn't come from Eclipse, but from java.sun.com. This summary is
old, but it might help:

I think that is bug of new version since I can install Eclipse IDE for java Developers
added cdt, but when I install Eclipse IDE for C/C++ Developers first and then install jdt.
the jdt launch and java develop environment disappear.
