I noticed that in GEF 3.0 that there is a class called
FlyoutPaletteComposite. I started looking at it and it appears that its
doing something special when it finds PaletteView.ID. What exactly does
this mean? I'm assuming this the PaletteView in WSAD. So basically my
question is....can I use this for having the palette either show up in my
editor and then switch to the WSAD PaletteView? If so, how would this be
accomplished? Thanks!

GEF now contains its own PaletteView. WSAD will remove their duplicate =
view from any products which include GEF 3.0.

All you have to do is use the new composte. This is demonstrated in the =
LogicExample. When the view is opened, the composite will dispose its =
paletteviewer, and your editor will get queried for its PalettePage. =
The composite and a provided PaletteViewerPage implementation both take =
a PaletteProvider, which is a factory for creating the palette control.
