This would be helpfull for Eclipse 2 (with CDT 1). But probably not for
Eclipse 3 (with CDT 2). I have the same problem: I had Eclipse v3.0.1
installed (for Java & PHP, in french), and when installing the CDT 2.0.x
or 2.1 I have... nothing. I mean:
- No "C/C++ perspective" (like I have for "PHP", "Java", "Ressource", ...)
- No project "C/C++" or any "C/C++ file" in "New" menu
I closed Eclipse, removed the eclipse.org.* folders, then restarted as
told by Sean on the 16/12/2004 19:40, no way.
I tried removing the complete configuration folder: no way.
I tried update CDT & Eclipse: nothing to update => no way.
I tried install org.eclipse.releng.tools_3.0.4 in plugins directory: no way.
*I tried Eclipse v3.1 M4 (actual): Ok!*
So I deduced: CDT v2.x seems not working well with Eclipse v3.0.1 (at
least with 'out of standard' configurations such as mine: language pack,
plug-ins: PHP, Black-sun, JSeditor) but *it works with Eclipse v3.1 M4*.
