all,

i have a property page which has properties like x,y coordinates and size.
i created a preference page entry to allow you to change the units
measure of the size (i.e. inches, centimeters, etc.).

everything is fine and the preference work. if i click on a new item on
the diagram, the new units are shown. what i do not know is where to put
a PropertyChangeListener to get the current properties page to refresh
with the new values.

i can re-select all the currently selected items on the diagram, but i
would like to understand what is actually going on so that i am not just
hacking around.
