Otmar,
You understood that using the -vm option, you must put it on two
separate lines in eclipse.ini, right?
-vm
/opt/jdk_1.7.0_05/bin/java
Still, corrupt ELF header would indicate that the file eclipse_1502.so
is bad. Perhaps redoing your installation exploding a tarball from a
fresh download?
