Thanks for the prompt reply.
Regarding ESE, I've been scheduled the day before.
Do you or some of your co-contributors from Weigle & Wilcek also attend
it the 1st day?
I mentioned somewhere that a specific talk about Eclipse in the
Insurance industry was just after mine so unless it is totally
impossible, trying to meet up that afternoon could be a good chance
during such a finance-related event.
I cannot promise I'll be there all of day 2. Which partly depends, how
long the Christmas break is at my client's? No immediate worries there
despite a sharp fall of automotive stocks except VW, too...
but it is more to meet certain delivery dates where we help building
systems to inform about cost, quality or efficiency, thus things getting
more and more important for EVERY business ;-)
On a long term some usefully unified business tools should certainly
help the entire industry at least to invest their efforts in a more
efficient way than re-inventing wheels like a Currency-Exchange
mechanism over and over again ;-)

Hello!
on behalf of Weigle Wilczek GmbH I would like co confirm that the
current financial market situation does not affect our commitment for
the OFMP project. We will keep on doing our best to stick to our plans
and believe that OFMP (and open source in the financial world) has a
great future, especially in cases when financial situation is not
perfect and costs have to be cut.

Hi Aleksey,
Thanks a lot for the update.
That sounds good. I would be quite happy to meet you or Mr. Weigle
(following his invitation) on some occasion proper to all of us during
the ESE next month. I see you attend and present at least 2 of the 3
days, so chances are you also might be there on all 3 of them...?
I have to ask my "sponsors" from the Automotive industry in the area
whether they are happy for me to attend the tutorial on Tue?
Otherwise I am only sure for Wednesday.
Due to your own role not as a bank, but service provider your own
ability to continue committing to it wasn't in much doubt anyway.
I was primarily wondering about the employees of Kaupthing which let's
say the bank was entirely purchased by others may not be able to decide
that for themselves.
Not only have I seen a Co-Lead from BEA drop out of Babel as their new
owner Oracle also revokes most of their own Eclipse activities (except I
guess a few more or less strategic "goodies" like EclipseLink which
could lead to embarrassment if they dropped that ?;-)
I have confirmation from more than one knowledgeable source, that no
more Eclipse based Workshop follows by Oracle after 10.3!
(again some cheap an easy "Bundle" with 1 or 2 extra plugins may remain,
but no more real product for Portal or other stuff, that moves into
JDeveloper or something similar) but as long as your own company is not
on Larry Ellison's "shopping list" this Christmas, I have no fear about
your commitment towards Eclipse or OFMP ;-)
Cheers,
Werner
