Dialog and Command Variables [message #129568] Thu, 23 April 2009 04:34 Go to next message
Eclipse UserFriend
Hi,

I'm using variables (selection,activeFocusControlId,etc..) to launch
commands in my application. It works fine but when i opened a Dialog box,
my commands do not work because the variables are not defined anymore.
Does someone knows something about this problem?
Maybe i do not use the commands variable correctly because i meet many
problems with them but when i try in RCP, it works fine. I would
appreciate if someone could help me for using the commands with variables
especially in RAP.

Thanks you.

Maghen.

Maghen,

if your code works iin RCP, is should also work in RAP. Are you
aware of this bug, that might related to your problem?

Hi Rüdiger,

Yes i've found out about this bug just after i've posted this message. I
guess I did not search well on the newsgroup. I even left a comment on the
bug report and another one on the post : URGENT:
CurrentSelectionSourceProvider gets removed (CVS)
( http://www.eclipse.org/newsportal/article.php?id=6211&gr oup=eclipse.technology.rap#6211).
My problem is definately linked to that bug and I hope it will be fixed
soon :) .

Thank you for replying to my message, that's very kind of you!

Maghen.
