Hi,

I learned that making commands visible in menus can be done via core expression definitions, similar to Eclipse 3.x. I also learned that I can use PropertyTesters and SourceProviders, but as you can access values in the context directly in Eclipse 4, using a SourceProvider doesn't make that much sense IMHO.

Is there a possiblity to add a null or exists check in the core expression definition? e.g. the command should only be visible if the specified key is contained within the context, like only show the Calculate command in the menu if there is a Calculate object in the context.

AFAIK this wasn't possible in Eclipse 3.x either, but maybe it is now possible with Eclipse 4.

Greez,
Dirk
