Howdy,
We received an offer for translating the ProR GUI. This would certainly be great! Here is a quick summary of what needs to be done:
It is best practice in Eclipse to use fragments for localizing content. A good tutorial is here:
http://www.vogella.com/articles/EclipseInternationalization/article.html
In a nutshell, first all language-specific strings need to be externalized. This has already been done for most Strings (see the plugin.properties files in the relevant plug-ins). The most important plug-ins are org.eclipse.rmf.pror.reqif10.edit and org.eclipse.rmf.pror.reqif10.editor. You may consider internationalizing the various presentations as well.
Next, language-specific fragments for the plug-ins must be created. The above tutorial describes this.
Last, we do have a help system that retrieves its content from the wiki. The continuous build system does this. If you would like to translate the help content as well, then we should coordinate to structure the wiki correspondingly.
Hope this helps!
Best,
- Michael
