"Manual Test View" captured by "Interactive Services Detection" of Vista [message #127742] Tue, 01 April 2008 16:13 Go to next message

When I tried to run a manual test, the "Manual Test View" window that pops
up was captured by "Interactive Services Detection" of Vista. From there,
I have to click on the "Show Me the Message" button provided by Vista but
the problem is that it shows "Manual Test View" window ONLY. I can't
launch the application that I would like to test. I disabled the
"Interactive Services Detection" service but the "Manual Test View" window
didn't even show up.

It looks like the "Manual Test View" was launched by eclipse using another
permission that is why it is captured by "Interactive Services Detection"
of Vista.

Note: Everything works fine with Win XP.

Does anyone has a solution for this?

Are you running the Integrated Agent Controller or the Agent Controller? If
the Agent Controller, are you running it as a service or application?

In TPTP 4.5, Manual Test was moved from a General Availability (GA)
component to an As-Is component. As-Is components are primarily provided
for prior users but imply no support (for example, defects, news group, and
mailing lists). If this turns out to be a defect, someone from the
community would have to attach patch including code to resolve the symptom
and test cases to test the fix.
