Hi,
I started getting familiar with Eclipse 4 application development. I'm trying to do a full migration of a customer project from Eclipse 3.7 to Eclipse 4. So branding is a big topic. But I don't get the Window icons to be shown.
I create a new Eclipse 4 Application with the "Eclipse 4 Application Project" Wizard. I'm setting the Icon URI to "platform:/plugin/my.plugin/icons/sample.gif". Adding -clearPersistedState to the Program Arguments of the product and the icons folder to the build.properties. Starting the Eclipse 4 Application is showing a window with a default application icon which is not the sample.gif.
Setting the window icon in the Branding section of the product configuration doesn't change anything.
I'm running on a Windows 7 64bit machine, using Java 6 Update 35
I tried with Eclipse 4.2 and 4.2.1.
As this is something general, IMHO this can't be a general bug, as somebody else would have found it before. Maybe it is some problem in my system. Does somebody have an idea where I could look at to solve this issue. I already re-installed Eclipse from scratch and used perfectly new workspaces.
Hopefully somebody can help,
Dirk
