Hi again, I'm trying to set up my working environment for developing tests using Jubula. I'm trying to setup this:
* Jubula as a plugin on Eclipse Juno (MacOS X 10.8.1)
* AUT and AUT Agent on a *local* virtual machine (Windows XP, using VMWare Fusion)

I'm doing this so I can keep working while I run the tests on the virtual machine without losing focus.

I'm having no trouble connecting to the agent and starting the AUT from the ITE (remotely).

But when I try to run any tests, I get an error window stating that "Could not connect to AUT: <aut name comes here>". (Reason: 7009: Test Execution Error.)

I get this on my "client.log" file:
2012-09-25 11:30:06.370 [Worker-7] ERROR o.e.j.c.c.c.AUTConnection - Connection to AUT could not be established.

And this on the "rc_swt.log" on the VM:
2012-09-25 11:29:57.305 [Connection.ReaderThread:Socket[addr=/172.16.130.128,port=1121,localport=1122]] ERROR o.eclipse.jubula.rc.common.AUTServer - connecting to localhost:62769 failed()

(Note: 172.16.130.128 is the IP address of the virtual machine, that i configured on the ITE as the AUT Agent address)

I've been reading related threads on this forum and checked that there is no firewall active on either side (windows firewall is off, also is mac's). Also, i'm running the virtual machine locally, so I guess there should be no conectivity problems (everything's in the same box).

Is there anything I'm missing?

Thanks a lot in advance!
Alejo

Hi,

the discussion and the picture in this thread sounds like it must be the cause of the problem. I'd check to be 100% sure that one of the points highlighted there isn't the reason.

HTH,
Alex
