I have tested the configuration below with Oracle 9i JDeveloper and this
tool displays the icons properly.

Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, Standard Edition Version 1.3.1
NVIDIA GetForce2 MX/MX 400 driver version 4.0.7.2 (Digital Sign: Windows
Hardware Compatibility Publisher)
Monitor EIZO FlexScan L360 (Flatpanel) 1024 * 768@75 Hz
