Still don't see NAB perspective in Eclipse [message #939] |

There doesn't seem to be much activity on this list. Since my last cry
for help, I've upgraded to Ganymede and NAB 0.9.9. I've successfully
built MWT and unzipped the NAB zip file to my eclipse directory.
NAB-related JAR files show up in both the features and plug-ins
directories, but Eclipse itself doesn't seem to know anything about NAB.
What am I missing?
Thanks,
Doug

I'm sorry about missing your post in past time.
And, I agree with you. Here's little bit silent. sigh...
So, did you add NAB update site to update manager.
That menu is placed at Help -> update -> Find & Install.
(sorry, I don't sure about that menu title, because I checked this in
Japanese menu.)
And, NAB update site URL is here.
http://download.eclipse.org/dsdp/nab/updates/
Thanks,
Shigeki

Hi Doug,
Book? It's a good news!
So, I have to answer with kindness. ;-)
1-1. 'The Platform SDK Enviroment dialog' came from WideStudio GUI
Builder that is original MWT development environment. It is used for
easy setup. (Because T-Engine is major embedded platform in Japan.) But
that is covered by 'Project Settings dialog'. We think to delete it on
next major update of NAB.
1-2. T-Engine cross tool chains have to install by user. It is not
coming from NAB or MWT. Usually it is commercial products.
2.'Project Class Library Settings': Please scroll it horizontally.
It have a little bit wider form. :-)

Hi Shigeki,
Now that I have your attention :-), there are a couple other questions I'd
like to pose. First off, I should mention that my interest in NAB is part
of a book I'm writing on using Eclipse for embedded software development.
I'm very close to finishing the book. NAB was one of the last pieces I
was still hung up on. There are a couple of dialogs under NAB project
properties that aren't very clear.
The Platform SDK Environment dialog lists a bunch of T-Engine
implementations with Browse buttons. Do I assume that these represent
cross tool chains for these implementations? Where do they come from?
How do they relate to Project settings?
Then there's the Project Class Library Settings. It's just a blank
screen. What goes in there and why?
Thanks again,
Doug
