Hi,
I have been trying TPTP to profile my web application running on tomcat. I
want to configure my production server so that I can start profiling when
there is a problem and that tomcat takes all the cpu. For now all I can do
is restart tomcat without knowing what was the problem.
Here are the versions that I use :
Java 1.5.0.12
Tptp 4.4.03
Tomcat 5.5.23
Linux IA32
Eclipse Europa
So far, I have been able to configure the agent controller and start
tomcat with the agent server=standalone. I write the filters in the
filters.txt file and it works exactly as I want. I then import the trace
file in eclipse and it contains only my application classes.
Now I want to set the agent to agent=enabled so that the profiling will be
done only when I request it. I set the same filters in eclipse but the
agent ignore the filters and the application becomes very slow because it
profile every single class on the server.
Is somebody able to make this work ?
