I saw this link[1] mentioned in JDT group. It talks about editing JSP
within Eclipse using the new javafamily support. I have M5 I couldn't
find anything about the javafamily support. Has anyone looked at this
stuff directly using a CVS checkout? I was wondering, if it worth effort.

I think its still in early stages.
Wonder why we don't have any releases of Lomboz for JSP editing for M4/M5.

Does any one know of any efforts to create a editor JSP that supports
content assisting (and other features like IntelliJ).

Rahul I was wondering this exact same thing, download the MyEclipse IDE
plugin, it allows all this including TagLib support and actually has
pretty damn good type checking with the taglibs because it actually
makes use of the JSP compiler and its errors... the only thing that make
its seem quirky is that the error messages with more obscure mistakes
are terrible because they are compiler errors, not actualy
parsed/syntactic errors that MyEclipse detected.

So in IntelliJ is you try and pass a STring to a taglib that takes a
ArrayList, it will highlight it in red and tell you why. In MyEclipse
IDE it will give you some f-ed up compile error like "can set
servletContext.getParmeter&Setupcontext$$ blah blah", but it will mark
the line the error occured on.

The good news is that MyEclipse is getting better at quite a rapid rate
and is only $30/year.

I don't think anything Beats IntelliJ, its truely an amazing IDE (but
its also $700)

You have to download the examples. It has been announced a while ago in
New and Noteworthy for 3.0 M3.
