This question is not RCP-related, ask in derby-users mailinglist
instead. Or, read the Derby Network Server manual.

I know how to start derby in command line. But what I want is a command that my RCP application user can select for example from toolbar to start derby server.

Thanks

As I said, it is not related to Eclipse or RCP.

See "Starting the Network Server from a Java application" at
http://db.apache.org/derby/docs/10.8/adminguide/tadminconfig814963.html
