I'm attempting to setup access for DB2 UDB 7.1. RDB had drivers for DB2
UDB 7.1 in a previous release, M2, so I figured it would be possible to
copy them over. I attempted modifying
%ECLIPSE_DIRECTORY%\plugins\org.eclipse.wst.rdb.dbdefinition .db2.luw_0.7.0\plugin.properties
&
%ECLIPSE_DIRECTORY%\plugins\org.eclipse.wst.rdb.dbdefinition .db2.luw_0.7.0\plugin.xml
to add the DB2 7.0 entries, & copied the file "DB2 UDB_7.0.xmi" from the
old milestone release of WTP to the new most recent version of WTP (0.7
RC1).
I start Eclipse, and the newly added DB2 UDB 7.0 database configuration
option did not display when I attempted to created a "New Connection..."
via the Database Explorer view. I attempted looking around for a "refresh
plug in option" but hadn't found any, nor do I know if it was needed
anyways. Thus, RDB question #1: how do I make a custom database
configuration option display?
Question #2: I faintly remember there being a helpful document or archived
message on the eclipse site bearing information on how to supress looking
up objects in a SQL qualified schema. In other words, if I type "SCEHMA."
in the SQL editor, as soon as I end the period, RDB will look up all
potential DB schema objects for that schema. I'd like to suppress that,
but I can no longer find any reference to this.
