EGit variables not set on selection in Repositories view [message #903587]

Looks like Egit variables such as 'git_work_tree' are not set when repositories are selected in the Git Repositories view, whereas they are set via selection in Explorer and editor views.

Is that by design or is it a bug?

I would certainly find it convenient if selection in the Git Repositories view configured the variables for the selected repository.

Lets call it a missing feature.

It would be a good idea. Patches welcome.
