Hello everybody,

i am a new eclipse user, and i am comparing eclipse with other popular IDEs.

I will not begin a debate on what is better on which IDE or on which IDE is better for what...

I only ask this question:
- WHAT HAPPENED WITH THE ECLIPSE CDT C/C++ BROWSING PERSPECTIVE, for browsing and navigating classes, namespaces, functions, etc. within C++ projects ?

All decent and popular IDEs have a decent class browser, so i assume Eclipse must have too... In the past there was in Eclipse CDT a class browsing perspective for C++, similar to the Java Browsing Perspective: what happened with it ?

I can search and navigate with the Menu Navigate->Open Type in Hierarchy and somehow with the C++ search, but it is not the same as in a good class browser like in other popular IDEs.

So i am very disappointed ! Confused Shocked

Can someone please help me ? Is there novadays a plugin for a C++ class browser or an advanced search for listing classes and other resources alphabetically (within the whole project and recursively in ALL the include files at onece) ?

I would be unhappy if i have to resort to other concurrent IDEs manily because of this points... Rolling Eyes

Thanks
Very Happy

Having read the sticky posts at the top of the forum, you'd know to ask
C/C++ specific questions in the Eclipse CDT forum for more expert help.
