This is a minor point, but I preferred the +/- decorations for tree
expantion in 2.0. Now they are fancy animated triangles, which I don't
really like (they also appear to take more vertical space, but this may
be an illusion).

i guess you're a gtk user (normally, you should include such things)

two things:
- the 'triangles' are the native gtk look and feel (we used our own drawn tree
before)
- this is not the right forum - try eclipse.platform.swt
