Hi all,

I would like to do the following:
- have a system running AgentController with PerfMon enabled
- create some application that queries/monitors some defined values form
that PerfMon
- this application may take actions when some problematic condition
occurs, but should only log the monitored state for later analysis

I think I had read a posting (which I cannot seem to find right now) in
this newsgroup saying that the current implementation of PerfMon resp. the
client attaching to PerfMon (Statistical Views in workbench) does not
support this kind of approach.

Can anybody confirm this, or even better point me to some examples how an
application like the one I am trying to create may be implemented? I have
checked some of the postings in this newsgroup, and I have tried to either
use PerfMonClient or classes like TRCAgentUtil. But I either only get
descriptive data (e.g. only the information that there are 2 CPUs running,
but no measured data like power consumption), or cannot get the thing
running at all.

Thanks.
Matthias
