Hello all,
I'm terribly new to Eclipse, but glad that so many vendors are using it
as their default IDE. My question is whether it's possible to have
multiple perspectives installed in the same Eclipse package - say, the
Palm development tools, a Java environment, maybe even (shudder) a C#
compiler in there too? Any instructions?
Thanks

Absolutely - the Eclipse platform is specifically designed for the
configurable combination of many plugins. The "standard" Eclipse install
comes with many plugins that together implement Resource Navigation
(like Windows File Explorer), Text Editors (and derivatives), JDT (Java
Development Toolkit), and much more. Then there are the third-party
plugins like JBoss IDE, CDT, J2EE tools, etc.
All can co-exist together - that is the way it is designed to work.
HTH,
Eric
