[CDO 0.8.0] CDOSessionImpl registerEPackage [message #117877] Fri, 11 April 2008 19:54 Go to next message

Hi Eike,

Do you think would be simpler for everybody if we didn`t need to call
registerEPackage when we want to use a package ?

CDOTransaction should be able to detect that easily....

When I attach an object to a resource we could verify if we know that
package. If not, we register it at that time.

What do you think ?

Hi Simon,

I like this idea. I can imagine of something like a special,
self-populating on demand, EPackageRegistry. Can you please open a Bugzilla?

Cheers
/Eike

Hi Simon,

Since the Bugzilla seems to be down at the moment, I post here:

---
Committed to CVS.

There is a new subclass CDOPackageRegistryImpl.SelfPopulating.
See also:
- CDOUtil.openSession()
- CDOSessionFactory.createSession()
- CDOSessionFactory.create()
- OpenSessionDialog
---

Cheers
/Eike
