TCP/IP Monitor hang [message #117718] Thu, 07 July 2005 16:09 Go to next message

I can't figure out why I get a "Waiting for localhost . . ." message all the
time when using TCP/IP Monitor.
I'm listening on localhost:5050 to a remote host on port 80. The remote host
requires basic authentication.
Is it the basic authentication?

Some requests go through, but most of them hang. Thanks for you help.

Hi Todd,

It could easily be the authentication, since even if the monitor was
'correctly' passing the data through, the incorrect client hostname (from
the server's point of view) may cause it to fail. Can you try disabling
security and see if you can still reproduce the problem, or point the
monitor to another server? If you can narrow it down or provide more
information, please feel free to open a bug.
