Hi,

I had the notion to create a simple shopping-app for our website, and my oh my that has led me into a jungle of programming language, platforms, strange terms and unfamiliar abbreviations(ADT, GEF, etc). I have tried the App Inventor, but I suspect I will need this Eclipse tool to create a better app, but where to start?

I have installed the Android SDK Tools, and I have downloaded and "installed" an Eclipse version called eclipse-java-galileo-SR2-win32.zip, but when I try to Help > Update, the program keeps dropping installation errors.

So, which version should I download: www.eclipse.org/downloads/ ?

My OS is Win XP Pro Sp3.

I have previously working with Delphi and a bit of Java, Javascript, PHP.

Tried AppLause?

There was a Pulsar package earlier that was focused on mobile development, but I think it's not supported anymore. So as eclipse package I would use classic:
http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/download.php?file=/eclipse/downloads/drops/R-3.7.2-201202080800/eclipse-SDK-3.7.2-win32.zip
