Sorry for replying to myself :)

It seems like it's a problem with Axis 1.1 and JDK1.5 and it's not a
WTP-related bug. Axis 1.2 solves these incompatibilties.

Looking at the M5 milestone plans I'm missing the announced Axis 1.2
support in the actual M5 builds. Can anybody clarify this?

I think I had the same problem. It was caused of different versions of
Plugins which interferred. I've just deleted older versions of the new
plugin-package.
