StyledText and secondary display [message #876726] Fri, 25 May 2012 03:45 Go to next message

Hello everyone,

I've had an issue with the StyledText objects and i'm posting on the forum before i fill a bug report.

I'm using StyledText object to display and edit commands, and then use a StyleRange to hilight the command's format errors (this as a part of a larger project).

The people in charge of the deployment exported the application display on themachine:0.1 (secondary screen). The machine is on RedHat.

When the application is on this display, the StyledText won't work. It is not even possible to write any character, as if the keyboard was disconnected.

I've tried other SWT widgets, like a Text or a Spinner and it works well on 0.1.
Of course, when the exported display is 0.0, there is no problem.

This issue is not caused by the application: I made a small program with only a display, a shell, and a StyledText and it didn't work as well on 0.1.

So anyway, this looks like a bug in the StyledText widget but i thought it would not hurt to ask on the forums!

Thanks for your help!
Guillaume
