No PDF Generation (URGENT) [message #114783] Tue, 24 January 2006 16:07 Go to next message

I have installed birt 2.0 on RedHat Enterprize Version 4 and installed
the birt.war file on tomcat 5.0.28.

I have followed the instructions for install and copied the jar files to
the correct directories as outlined on the BIRT intallation guide page.

Reports are running fine, as are exports but I can't get any output to PDF
for Acrobat reader apart from 1 report which has a table of contents and
that only shows the table of contents!

Please can anybody give me simple, easy to follow instructions that will
sort this out. I am not a linux expert, and references I've seen to making
True Type fonts available to the JRE and Birt don't help me in the
slightest.

I'm much appreciate the help because this is now very urgent - I've had
this problem since early Jan and I was hoping that 2.0 would solve it.

I got no PDF output until I ran across a comment that the referenced iText
jar file is not correct. I went to the iText download page and got the
"advance" copy file. You want itext-1.3.6.jar ... but: rename it to
itext-1.3.jar and replace the smaller file of that name wherever you have
it.
